Ok, last post for the build! Thanks to those of you following along and showing interest. Here are some pics of the decor, and some pics of the little guy in there.

The build looks really good! You might consider doing away with the moss due to impaction risks.. and you could get a 10” clay pot saucer to sink into his substrate for his water dish.. it will give him better traction for climbing in and out;-) Twiddles is a cutie pie! Wifey was on point about the lids. I have read that Russians can be quite mischievous;-)

Hi Ellie May, thank you for the nice comments. Re: the moss, I thought based upon all the posts I had read that the sphagnum moss was actually good, especially for the hide, since it retains moisture better. So the hide is completely sphagnum moss, and since I had a little left over, I kind of spread it around the enclosure a bit to help with moisture a bit. But if there is a risk, I will absolutely remove it.

I will definitely look into the different water bowl. I figured sinking it into the rocks like I have it now would keep it cleaner and the rocks would also be ok for traction, but if it is a bad idea, I will change that too.

I will take some better pics of the enclosure later today. I didn’t realize until I posted them how much reflection the lights being on was causing. Makes it a bit hard to see.
