First time tortoise keeper :)

Hello from England.
I have just acquired my first tortoise and I absolutely love him. He is a red foot called Sheldon and approximately 6 months old. I have never kept tortoises before but I am enjoying learning all about them. I've have only had him 4 days so far but he is settling in well, I can't wait to learn more about them.
He is still rather shy but he is getting there.

Thanks guys. I have been doing a lot of research but thought a forum full of tortoise owners would be the best possible place to get advice and tips . Sheldon is still rather shy at the moment but he is getting there. Loves his baths. I look forward to getting to know you all and your tortoises of course.
