86-88 is in the middle of the range. Over 90 can cause them to do or have birth defects. Under 84 might cause them to not develop. I have my incubators set to 87-88.

ok thank you so much for all the help. i will definitely keep u updated on how the eggs turn out :)

As Tom mentioned, you will probably not have any success with the eggs under a heat lamp. If you absolutely cannot purchase a proper incubator, than your method is probably better than nothing though.

I don't dig up the eggs anymore, but I can get away with that in AZ quite easily. I'm not sure what other breeders might say about this in your area, but you may want to consider purchasing an incubator at some point if your goal is to hatch out the eggs.
