Garden compass says this is a plant from the curcubit family. Any help?

I planted melon somewhere else... Is it tortoise safe? Do I feed or compost it?

Heres what they told me:
We cannot identify for sure, it looks like a Curcurbit - squash, pumpkin, cucumber or melon plant~they are all closely related and look similar at this stage, but cannot tell you until it bears fruit. They generally like full sun, even moisture and keeping the leaves dry to avoid mildew. When watering, water at the base of the plant rather than overhead.

Just to be on the safe side, don't feed. But do wait until it fruits. Looks like melon or cucumber. You'll know in a few more days.

I'll pollinate it tomorrow! Using a paint brush :p I guess all those heredity/genetics lessons I learned as a kid are actually useful, LOL!

Hoe did your pollinating go?
I t does look like melon, doesn't it! Cucumbers have leaves that a bit more 'pointed' than that (I grew some once) so maybe it is a type of melon...
