Coconut bark

I ordered some coconut coir but it wont be here for a few days. I was wondering your thoughts about coconut bark in the interim.

Pros?.....Cons?

The bark is just larger pieces. Fine in the interim, but some torts have a tougher time walking and digging in it. I think the coir is a better option, but the bark is better than nothing or newspaper or whatever.
