Hey Guys I havent been on for a long time. I am planning on changing my terrarium set up for both my Radiated and Ploughshare tortoises. What should i have for substrate? Maybe different kinds? Eco earth, cypress mulch, coconut thing, or what?
Thanks everyone

My favorite substrate is orchid bark.

I have just changed all the substrate. I used coco husk and under the water and food plate there is the carpet from zoomed. But i feel like it looks so boring. I used to have bamboo and alluaudia but the bamboo died in there and the alluaudia lost all its leaves so i took it out.

Thanks

I have no clue about now cuz they completely disappeared including radiated tortoises. Really strange. I got this small one last year about 10,000 RMB thats around 1,600 USD. What about Indonesia?

It seems that the small ploughshare is always blinking its eye. Maybe same as the old eco earth i used. It maybe irritated the eyes?

You get 7 already... That's too much.

Yniphora already gone for years here but radiata are plenty. Price is higher here than there.

Wow, there are still plenty of radiata? Thats lucky, I cant find anymore. But I guess this is a good thing because hopefully they will stop selling them. But the demand is still really high.

Lol nothing's gonna stop people selling radiata. There are breeding stocks from Thailand, I think China might successfully breed them as well if demands are so high.

You never see any people breeding radiata there? What about yniphora? Any attempt to breed this?

I know a few ppl breeding them. But not large enough for commercial. More for personal hobby they keep them. And most are not fertile. That's the problem. Are there many in thailand? Never seen them when I was there.

I don't know where it is located as well. But I know the importer here goes there to purchase.
