A humidifier will help but if your tank ha an open top the humidity will still escape. Can you post a pic of your enclosure?

Its a 4x2 black tortoise table. It has a shower curtain stapeled against the walls. I use a bottom layer of top soil and a top layer of sphagnum moss. I have one strawberry plant for humidity. I have one CHE, and one 5.0 uvb strip that is about 3 inches away. I cover the enclosure with a black trash bag and a cover. Its barely at 51 for humidity.

Where is it placed? Should be right above substrate.

Its ontop of her hide.

Its there because it falls off the walls. Very frustrating.

I would move around a get a good idea of the general humidity. Usually under Che or lights will be less. So not directly under those

If you did it now you wouldn't need to buy a humidifier.
It would give you perfect conditions, save on electricity and you don't run the risk of shell rot from constant damp substrate.

Well i just made her enclosure, and To make another one will be a while.

Actually, the other side of the enclosure is 81! I now put the hygrometer in the middle to see if i get the same results.

The middle is approximately 83! Wow. The substrate is humid. Where should i be worried about the humidity dropping? The whole enclosure, or just one side?

Make sure the hide always has high humidity, and try to keep the rest as high as you can. If you do get a fogger you shouldn't have a problem.
