Burn mark, abrasion, what is it?

I noticed something weird on Spike's carapace today. There were (are) areas of it that are discolored or look different than the rest of his shell. I'm not sure what it's from. When I give him a soak, I usually spoon water onto his carapace. When I did this today, the weird marks on his carapace seemed almost hydrophobic, as if the water just didn't want to pool up at those areas. Not sure if it's burn marks, abrasions, or something else. I've attached a photo.

Looks to me either something scratched it. A picture of his enclosure would help to find the problem, so you can remove the object that causes these marks

Here is a photo of his enclosure. The banana leaf in the bottom right corner is where he usually likes to sleep/burrow under.

Here is a close up shot of him under the leaf. Maybe he's rubbing his shell against the stick?

Yes it could be that or it could also be the pine cone right by the other enclosure
