Usually when one egg is laid like that on the gorund it is a dud, but you cn incubate and see what happens.

Hi jesseg:

Welcome to the Forum!!

Do you live in an area where box turtles are wild and live naturally? If so, your box turtle was probably searching for a good nesting site. You need to put her back in the general area where you found her. Box turtles usually lay 4 or 5 eggs per clutch, and if you put her back into her territory, she may find a good spot to place her remaining eggs.

Is your name Jesse?

And may we know appx. where in the world you are?

I wouldnt mind puttin her back but I dont know where she was found. all I know is it was a heavy traffic area she would not have survived the day:(. I have had her for several months now. I live in South East Texas around Beaumont. Myname is Jessica but I prefer Jesse.
