Band or theater?

Ok so me and my brother are having an argument about band or theatre... Band is obviously better because it's like learning a new language and then transferring it to the instrument. I need another good argument because he is really good at arguing!!!!
And I need your opinion, band or theatre and why?

Are you trying to convince him to take band at school? Is he trying to convince you to take theatre? Can both be taken?
I personally would choose theatre. You can do more with it locally, for the rest of,your life. Band, well harder to do more with it without getting famous, yet it is something you can do at home by yourself for entertainment. If this is for someone to take for a school course, then I say take the one that you think you would love the most.
