Eeek! I just noticed that the petunias I've been feeding Max (a Russian) are totally aphid infested. He has absolutely eaten some/many aphids. Is this a big deal? He loooooooves petunias and his outdoor enclosure has so many planted in it.

As far as I know, its no problem. My tortoises have eaten aphids and all sorts of other bugs too for years with their food. No problems to report yet.

Good news, thanks! I haven't been on in a while, that is a beautiful tortoise in your picture. Is it an Indian star?

The Hibiscus I feed my Redfoot herd regularly have assorted eggs, insects, etc. attached to them.
I wipe them off when I see them but I'm sure I miss the majority of them.
No problems in about 18 years of feeding it.
