I'm sure you all have had to change water when soaking your turtles cuz it gets too cold but I came up with what I think is a good solution and if anybody has anything to tell me why it's not please do so but I think this is solid ... I started using a glass Pyrex baking dish for making bread it's about 10 in Long by 6 in wide in about 4 in high the great thing about it is the sides are steep so your tort can't climb up or climb out and if you use a couple of DVD cases It Only Takes Two you can cover the top and the temperature doesn't change much you can get a whole soak out of it without changing the water from 96 down to 90 degrees 10 minutes plus comes in handy when you're cleaning the enclosure.....?❤?

I soak my tortoises in their enclosures, so the water stays at an ideal temperature no matter how long I want to soak them... sometimes hours.

yes I've heard others say something about soaking in the enclosure however my total ambient temperature isn't quite warm enough for soaking temperature although I guess the warm temperature would help keep the warmer water temperature right there however the other purpose of soaking her is so I can clean her enclosure I'm not using substrate at the moment I'm just using paper towels like the breeder because it's cleaner for one easier to see her poops cleans up easy and the chance to change her water so that's probably why I don't use the enclosure for soaking I do however like the fact that the glass Pyrex Bowl gets nice and condensated inside and I don't have to babysit her while I'm spending my time making her enclosure clean
