I have a question my tort's shell is fading not a lot but enough to notice. I got him on the correct food and lighting. I was just wondering that maybe the correct habitat is causing his shell to now fade.

He is about a year and half. I am guessing on that cause the lady whom sold him to me said he was a year when I got him. So he is probably a year and half a little more or a little less.

With more UVB and light, the shell can fade. It could be possible that under your care the tort is getting more. They also change colors as they age, but I'm not familiar with what is typical for a Sulcata.

Well it is not bad fading. His orange has been toned down to a tan. His shell is still completely hard. He is very active. I was just making sure he wasn't having a problem. :)

I'd think no problem but I'm not that experienced so hopefully someone else can confirm that. :)
