fed my guys scrambled eggs today and they went to town on them. it almost seemed like it created a katnip response, usually they eat hot dogs and june bugs i collect from my pool in the morning, they usually wont eat fruit and veggies but i am guessing because they live in the desert, there are not many available.

What kind of box turtles do you have? Sorry if I missed that post. This morning all mine got a treat, including the Cherries. Everything in the blender...grape leaves, escarole, dandelion, two eggs with shells, cantaloupe, strawberries, sweet potato, and carrots. Added this to ground venison. Made a big bunch and put it in a plastic container in the refrigerator.
I never heard of hot dogs...How many boxies do you have? Any pictures?

sorry no pics now, will work on them, one type is a desert ornate box turtle with a dark gray shell, the other type has a sandy shell, they were almost all rescued from the local zoo. When i was younger we found a couple of them on the highways of n.m.. in the middle of the desert.
