I am getting a 60 pound sulcata tomorrow from Hawaii. I have been working on night time housing. He has a large 5×8 ft heavily insulated house with a 2ft door that can be closed. I purchased a ceramic heater and the floor has a large amount of hay. I am concerned it is not going to stay above 70 at night. I am in NM and the themp dropped to 25 last night. In December it is not uncommon to be in the Negatives. Secondary to his size and the hay will he be ok if the temp is on the lower side?

@bullanddoser1, can you add an oil filled electric radiator to boost background heat?
The other thing that might help would be a 'pig blanket', like a Stanfield or Kane heat mat on a thermostat.

I do think that you will want to get temps up a bit more.
