Why not one with extra scutes? Is it a bad thing to have ?

Some people prefer the ones with extra or split scutes just because their unique.

Yeah, the weather is crazy there. It is going to be warmer there when I'm visiting then it's going to be here while I'm gone. I was expecting snow.

That's why I love Colorado so much more sunny days than Florida

Can there be males and females out of the same clutch ? Or will the clutch be all male or all female ?

Yes there can be a mix in a clutch.

They can be incubated at a certain temperature to try to influence gender, but there are no guarantees.
