It's a fast growing climbing/trailing vine thingy that might make a nice hedge along the front fence. However, I don't want to allow it to take up space if my Russians cant eat it. Any idea what it is and if it is safe?

That gores like CRAZY here. It's 'supposed' to itch when you touch it, but I've never been bothered.

It's easy to dispose of, just rip it off what ever it growing on. The torts have never been interested, but just be safe, I keep it out of the main yard area :)

Virginia Creeper, I believe the reason some say don't feed, is that it sorta mimics poison oak and ivy. I have been letting my tortoises eat all they want when it is in season, and can't say I have seen any ill effects from it, My feelings are that it is just another good plant for the varied diet that I try to grow for my torts.
