what species of turtle is this?

I will be sounding dumb saying this but the tortoise I bought I don't know his breed and the person who sold scorch to me was also not sure
I can't take care of him until I get his breed

It's a water turtle, Scorch, not a tortoise. But I don't know what kind. Most water turtles can't swallow their food unless they are submerged in the water.

@Gerards might be able to tell you what species it is.

He probably needs a a large area of water and a "dock" to climb on so he can get OUT of the water periodically. Above the dock should be a basking lamp.
