So I gave Crush a little thing of water, I saw him drink a little, spill a little and then sit in the water dish...and now he has no water.. Should I leave it empty until tomorrow and give him fresh water then, or should I refill it anytime I see it's empty?

Rinse and refill as needed.

You might need a bigger water bowl if he emptied it by sitting in it. I prefer terra cotta plant saucers. They are cheap, safe and work the best.
