I am taking my tortoise to the vet and I was wonder what is the best way to transport it while I'm driving?

I live in a mild climate and I just put the tortoise into a cat carrier.

He is only 2 inches, he's a hatchling. And I live in south texas but right now it is in the high thirties low 40's

Do you have any hot shipping packs/hot hands? 30s is little chilly, even for a short drive.
If you don't have any, fill a water bottle with hot/warm water, wrap in a towel, and place them and (cushion your tort a bit, another towel would probably work) your little guy in a box. If it seals, please make sure there's a fresh air return!
How long is the drive?

The drive is only 15 minutes maybe 20 depending on traffic
