UVB Tube light

I Use these for my redfoots and was wondering if I should remove the plastic covering from the light. I don't know it just came to me now
And also will one of these be suitable for a hermanns?
He will spend about an hour a day outside as weather permits

Yes, the plastic covering needs to be removed. No UVB gets through plastic or glass.

Yes it's suitable and yes you should remove the plastic lamp shade
