Okay So I got my first tortoise a little over a month ago and before he arrived I bought a lamp and a UV bulb which cost $90... It already burnt out and I don't exactly want to go buy another if it's only going to last that long. If anyone has any advice I'd like to hear. If there's better bulbs or anything I need to know.

What kind of bulb did you get and where did you get it?
I would take the bulb back if you can. I use Powersun's, and they last a long time.Sometimes this type of bulb will go off, and then come back on after it cools down a bit. Also, you can't hang them at an angle, just straight down. Prices vary greatly on these.
Most MVBs have a warranty, after only a little over a month your will surely still be covered. Just contact the company and have the replace it.
