TFO supporters eventually will see no ads. Remember, it's a work in progress. That's why I encourage you all to voice your concerns and complaints through email to Josh.
How do you become a supporter? I have donated money to the forum before but never get a "supporter" designation.

It has to be manually input. I'll contact Josh to double check the "supporter" designation and if he confirms, I'll fix it right away.

Thanks. I've sent him an email. I also looked at your 'stats' and the 'supporter' box by your name is not tic'd. There's really no excuse for that. Your support is much appreciated. If I don't hear from him soon, I'll call him. (WHAT? Yvonne would use the telephone? Unheard of!!!)

Josh told me that supporters are now receiving their banners automatically, but Mark's donation posted prior to Josh fixing the auto thing. He has added your banner.

I would be happy to contribute but not sure whether to become a member or donate.
Apart from one having a set membership fee could you tell me the difference please?
Is becoming a TFO member the same as becoming a supporter .

You already are a member. Non members can't post. A supporter donates money to help pay to keep the forum online.

Thanks Yvonne, I thought I was but was confused by the Support TFO options one says Become a Member and when I click on that it offers me 5 years for 40 USD and the other says Donate option which is open. So I guess I'll donate.

It's not worth complaining about. And I'm sure that nagging Josh won't expedite things.
It's annoying. But the forum can still be used.

I chose to donate an ongoing amount monthly and it comes out of my checking account automatically through Paypal. I don't have much money to live on, so I chose a small amount that I could afford.
You can also pay him a lump sum once a year as I do. (Usually in a Christmas card)
But I think HOW, WHEN or HOW MUCH you contribute isn't much of an issue.

I don't have any ads anymore but I haven't been able to create a post in over a week. The box where you enter the title is covered up when the page loads.

The next time that happens, take a screen shot and send it to Josh. The only way he can fix these sort of problems is if he can see what you're talking about.

Oh, nevermind. I see you're asking if there are no ads for paying members.
