trouble growing pansies

i am trying to grow pansy, I place them under the UV light.
they grow very slowly, its been a month, only couple inch talk
I dont understand

Hi HtVic (Did you ever tell us what to call you?):

Plants grow better outside. What kind of UV light are you placing them under? They don't need UVB like animals do.

yea try starting them out side or under a light made for plants then putting them in with your tort, i always have some started and trade them out once every two weeks unless my big sammi eats the whole thing then i have to start over with that planter ... :)

I think pansies do better in cooler weather, so outside might be a good idea (depending on your temps). Pansies can often survive frosts, through cold winters and really look great in Spring. They tend to slow way down in summer/warm months.
