Thanks guys! I have tried to buy coco coir but it was impossible to find. I visited 3 garden centres and a petshop and they looked at me like I was speaking another language. The best I could find is what is in there now, coco husk, she doesn't mind it too much she likes to burrow into it.

Carolinapetsupply and petco sell it..dry or just add water in a bucket to expand the brick...awesome idea...your tort is loving it!!!

Nope, just kept this. I tried a tiny bit of soil from the garden for her to dig in but she hated it so I took it away.

Ours just started digging herself into the soil.....it took her 3 months...we rescued her in september..tty again and give her a lil more time...
