Tortoise bulb

i have brought a glow In the dark fixture from pets at home and a 160w UVA UVB and heat lamp
I have received it through Amazon therefore I cannot tell wether the product was faulty or doesn't suit the fixture as it simply wouldn't turn on
The springs (element) weren't attached either

Any help to wether this was blown or if it was a fault

Ps contacted seller and they are sending another

By the "springs", do you mean the coils of wire inside the bulb?
If you can see them and they are not attached, then it must have been damaged in transit.
That's the part that completes the short and makes the light glow.

Yes they springy things that connect to the other parts that make it work, so it's not the fixture?

No the light bulb is bad.
They are fragile especially when they are hot. Any sharp, jarring movement can and will break the filament.
Did they light up and go out right away or just never light up?

Never lit up I unboxed it then put it straight into the fixture turned it on and it just didn't make any noise and never lit up

Who knows? Maybe it was a blown bulb that someone else previously returned?

Hmm, it didn't really have bad reviews. I'm not sure I'm just happy it's being replaced
