We have had a few close calls around on the forum too. That's why it is always a good thing to check lighting/heating about once a month or so to be sure however you have it hooked up, is still holding and that the growing of the tort can't have a misfortune with it. That is also why it is not recommended using the clamps on the clamp lighting. Poor torts:(

Henry had been pursuing Alice all over their habitat and conservatory operators believe during his romantic fervor, the naught tortoise knocked over a heater and set the wood shavings in their next on fire.

What kind of setup was this where the tortoise is able to knock over a heater?

Sounds more like naughty owners than naughty tortoises.

It's frustrating to me that the article is written as though it is all very funny. It doesn't seem funny to me at all. At the risk of seeming judgmental, seems like a pretty poor heating arrangement for an otherwise fancy habitat...
