My Russian is not in love with her deck box right now; she's digging herself fairly deep into one of her two "hides" in the yard in late afternoon.

After reading some older threads here, I've been waiting for her to fully cool down before putting her away; she'll stay in at that point but I'm pretty sure she's giving me the tortoise equivalent of the finger every night.

Currently it drops to around 58 degrees here in the coldest hours (usually three to six a.m.). Her box is at sixty five. She gets put away if there is any rain in the forecast.

She's healthy and happy otherwise.

If it's not dropping below 58F in the early hours I would give in - I would have no chance of over-ruling Joe if it were that warm overnight.

As long as he's sleeping somewhere dry that is. That's where Joe has his Cold Frame.

Others may disagree with me.
