Here are the two that were pipping last night. They are my kind of cherries, a very interesting color for sure and color on the neck on both, one more vivid than the other. The second one has more is a sprinkling of color instead of blotches.

Here is the second one that has the light powder color on its neck. It doesn't really show in the pictures, hopefully the color will become more apparent as the hatchling grows. Here is the wonky egg from the same clutch. This one's nose looks red. It is a large found clutch with 6 eggs. ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1427413020.145628.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1427413031.896463.jpg

The Iphone has trouble focusing that close, and I chalk it up to user error. At least I know how to text.

Try taking the photos from slightly further away and then zooming in, rather than putting the camera lens on their noses.
And for your information, I can now text like a 13 year old girl.

I swear it maybe top 5% ers for most breeders but it seems like Allegra has a higher % of nice torts per cutch than most!

Her breeders are exceptional animals and she and Mr. Lue know how to pair up animals that are color compatible and will likely produce the best neonates.
Plus, they feed their tortoises a good diet and I think this plays a big part in producing nicer than average neonates.
