The First Tortoises I Ever Saw

So, I went to see my aunt on Christmas Eve and my mum had given her a huge box to pass on, with loads of childhood pictures, school documents and the like.

Was digging through, and found this page in an album. October 1991, on (now closed) Discovery Island at Disney World, Florida.

Not great pictures, but thought I'd share!

Galapagos. I just looked it up on Wikipedia and there were five of them apparently. It says when they closed the island they moved all the animals over to Animal Kingdom and other zoos. Not sure where these guys ended up. I've been to Animal Kingdom a few times in recent years, but don't remember seeing any tortoises.
