We just built a bigger enclosure and it's time for a temp gun to keep better track of things. I have seen one for $99 online at Home Depot, and I've seen a few for around $20 on Amazon. Can anyone vouch for either of these products? I'd love to spend less, but the discrepancy in price makes me wonder...

I don't have an answer for accuracy but I bought a Ryobi from HD and I'm sure I didn't pay more than $30. I bet I paid closer to $20. I think it works great.

Just noticed you are in Canada. So I'm guessing you would be a bit more.

Thanks! I'll go in and check them out. We have ryobi tools so I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of those.

I got the Etekcity Lasergrip 744 on Amazon for $17. Works great! I don't think you need to spend a fortune on one of these.

I have the ~$12 GM320 temperature gun from Amazon and it's worked well for me during the short time I've had it. Even if it died on me tomorrow, the small cost would've been worth it for the peace of mind of knowing what my temps were (and adjusting where needed).

I'm in Canada and I bought an Exo-Terra handheld temp gun I think for about $35 at a local pet store. Works great.

Hardware stores usually have a nice wide selection of temp guns.
I got mine for 22$ at the Home Depot :D
