I knew I needed to get one of these for a while now...
Are there recommend brand names members might lean towards?
Or are there brands that you would avoid like the plague if you were in my position?
Is there a " Best " brand of digital temp gun that fellow members would suggest I order for my tortoise room??? All of a sudden, I'm kind of at a loss here! I've just used a hygrometer for years. Dont judge me!

I went back onto Amazon and there are , like, 50 different versions of this tool. I'm not sure what temp. Range or features I should see as the absolute minimum I can except for my tortoise room.

Are any of the other " extra " features desirable for use with my tortoise table? There sure are alot of options.

They all do the same thing and they all do it pretty well.
So, the least expensive one is what I'd grab.
I've seen them for $10 and for over $150.
I saw some at HARBOR FREIGHT this morning for $14.95 and you can use a 20% off coupon.

I like this one

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DMI62HM/?tag=exoticpetnetw-20

It has a 16:1 spot reading measurement ratio. That means it measures a 1" diameter area at 16" away. Most of the others are 21:1 or even 8:1. So when I'm checking things outside like ground or my large sulcata's neck, when standing and shoot at them from 20-30" away it is still reading a small spot for more accuracy. They last forever, so the few extra dollars was worth getting what would serve me a bit better.

Let's not forget these little digital temp and humidity gauges for about $10 at your hardware store.
In combination with the thermal temperature gun, you've got your bases covered.

Etekcity Lasergrip 1080 Non-Contact Digital Laser Infrared Thermometer Temperature Gun -58℉~1022℉ (-50℃~550℃), Yellow and Black

So I noticed Artemis buried her/himself in a corner I never saw her want to sleep in yesterday... hmmmm. I did not like that....
So I checked ( using my Zilla hygrometer) and my heat bulb had died on me! Good thing I always order multiples so I have extra bulbs on hand at all times! Whew! Now it's time to order more extras.
