It's so great to see all these adult and semi-adult sulcatas with so little pyramiding. Good job guys! :)

Yes definitely, some of the pics on the net of extreme pyramiding makes me feel sick with rage!!

You guys are all very lucky. I would love to get a sulcata but I feel the British weather is against it!!

I always think that Europeans want to keep American species and Americans are always intrigued with European species. I used to keep European newts and salamanders. I would never think to keep American newts! I feel the same is true for turtles. I wonder, do Brits keep American turtles like painted and box?

I guess they are available but im not sure how many people keep them. Again the weather is pretty much against it. I went to a local zoo recently and their sulcata enclosure is basically a heated shed, there was a very large sulcata sat outside in the pooring. Surely this isn't ideal?

Neenyo wearing his tortoise locator device (and no - I don't leave him and the dog unsupervised).

Neenyo thinks my snack looks really good on the other side of the glass (I moved it).

Shhhhhhhhh; he's sleeping!

Neenyo is between 3 and 4 years old, 10 inches long, and weighs about 7-1/2 pounds. He was badly pyramided when he was abandoned here because his prior owner thought he needed no water or humidity at all, that he would get all the moisture he needed from food. He never got soaks - nothing. The first time I put a water dish into the poor baby's enclosure, he practically did a nose dive getting into it; I kid you not.

Here's Master Oogway... He's 4 weeks and 2 1/4", I've had him 3 weeks =)

Best name I have seen in a while, no points for originality, but still very cool.
