Since my daughter left for college my wife and I have become Gussie's defacto parents. She is 8 years old and has been on a grass diet with calcium supplements since we got her when she was about 30 days old. In spite of her good diet she is experiencing some stacking on her shell. Apparently lack of exercise can also cause this according to online sources. We are in Ft. Lauderdale area.

Yes, it would help to see pics of her carapace. Pyramiding can be the result of low humidity during the first year of life. If humidity was around 80% in her hide/enclosure, and she still developed some pyramiding, it could be a combination of other things including lack of uvb and exercise. If everything was done properly, then I would not worry about it. Frankly, it cannot be reversed, bit further pyramiding can be prevented by more exposure to the outside sun and increased activity. Post pics if you can.
