not sure if this is the right place to ask. been trying to get a hold of the arizona atc and the phone number doesnt work and i have yet to get a return email. does anyone else here breed them or sell them?? i have a close friend that saw the babies we have and he watched the kenan videos on them and really wants to find one.

im curious is there really a difference in them? or are these just really large sulcata?

thank you

I have a male and female, but no babies yet.

They look the same as babies, but Sudans have a more domed carapace and the males typically get twice the size of "normal" sulcatas. 120 pounds vs. 250 pounds. Females of both get about the same size.

Sorry if your friends email got lost in the shuffle, I am pretty sure at this point we have communicated with him. For anyone considering adding a Sudanese Sulcata, we only offer hatchlings around September each year. Limited numbers available around that time and we sell out by Christmas. At this time, we do have some available.

I’d love to see pictures from hatchling to adults and growth charts comparing Sudanese vs. Sulcatas. We are moving ina couple years to 2.5 acres and I’d like another sulcata or to start breeding them, just wondering what would be safer to keep outside to breed? Thinking about options 3 years from now, the property has tons of trees, south Louisiana and I’d have 1/2 acre shaded and 1/4 acre sunshine available for enclosures ???

I wish you would reconsider.. I don’t think that there are enough people to provide good homes for these beautiful giants.. I feel like there is a huge shortage of some of the other torts though. We could use a good rescue in this area of the world:))

My neighbor is a breeder. I'll ask him if he has any left. I don't know how he starts them though.

I think I like your idea! Not many people have the space I will have, a small contribution to some of God’s most amazing creations!

I didn’t mean to insert my two cents like a know it all!! I’ve just discovered a passion for these creatures .. I see so many “throw aways” and it just breaks my heart. They are adorable when they are small but the average person just can’t handle them as they grow.. there are so many other species that would make wonderful house pets with much less effort. I would love to see you with a rescue center for adults though... I would do my best to help. I have been considering it my self but I’m no where near ready for that kind of step yet..
