I’ve noticed he had some since he was given to me but I’m starting to wonder what they are ? Also do tortoises shed?

Haven’t been on here in a bit

Can you post some pics of the shell so we know exactly what you mean?
Also, they do shed, for growth and sometimes when under stress due to new environment. You needn't worry about it.

I can see the pic perfectly and there is nothing I can see to worry about.

Tortoises shed skin, not shell, and look downright tatty at times because they do it in random patches.

Everything I can see on the shell looks like normal marks and colouration

Everything looks to be fine. And that's one beautiful sulcata. How old and large and heavy is it?

That was my next question to everyone lol
Donnie was passed down to me by a friend that wasn’t able to keep him anymore , I’ve had him for about 6 months .
But I’m so curious as to how old he is [emoji848]
He’s too heavy for me to pick him up my fiancé will usually help me lol but we always wanna guess he weighs about 70lbs .

You will never know his age. They all grow at different rates and at 70lb this one has been round a while, but still has growing to do. He could get to double that size.
