Something has been eating the enclosure Hosta

Came out last weekend to work on the outdoor enclosure for my Leopard and found that some critter has been eating all the Hosta 😒. No, not the Leopard. She wasn’t out there.
Either a rabbit (which we have a bunch of) or deer? Thoughts?
Also, I read you can cut back the stems and new growth can still come back this year. Anyone know?

My guess is deer. Maybe put chicken wire over it so the deer can't get to it.

Agbiɛnaa uses them to hide under…not much to hide under now .
