The rescue I got a few months back that was kept on fake carpet grass n a glass tank only eating tort pellets.
Her skin and shell looked pretty bad and she's all better and the sweetest little thing. She isn't scared even with my kids running around her.

I can't get over the difference in her skin. Good job.

Well # 1 was soaking 3 times a day the first month for 30 min under a heat light. Next outside time. Then I know a lot of people on the forum do not like or recommend vita shell but in cases like Dorys it works wonders!! It is the main reason she looks so well now! I used it on her skin and shell. Her shell only two times for the whole shell then once a week for the bad brittle spots. Now she doesn't need any at all. I still soak all my young ones every other day for 20 min or so. The adults soak them selves ;)

Also the people who had her said she was a male. Her tail is real short and stubby lol
