The kids made me breakfast in bed this morning (Happy Mother's Day!) and on the menu was fresh, organic strawberries from the local Farmer's Market. Tuleo has NEVER had fruit so I thought I would let him have one, all the while dreaming of the adorable photos I would take of him enjoying his treat.

Pfft.

This was his reaction...lol

Wow, he is very beautiful. Nice and so smooth. Your doing a great job. As for the strawberry, I am shocked. Seems most go nuts for the fruit.

I know. I was laying on the ground, just KNOWING I was gonna get an adorable shot and he just walked off... LOL
Oh I have been there too. I have so many pictures of my tortoise doing absolutely nothing when just a second ago she was doing something so cute, or the back end of her as she turns and runs away. They don't read the forum food lists, they don't necessarily like what other tortoises like. My Russian didn't eat a dandy lion for a year and a half when I first got her.

It's funny because I am SUCH a laid back parent (with five kids ages 7 to 29 I know by college they are no longer sucking their thumbs and are potty trained) but with Tuleo I helicopter. Just last night my husband and I were getting ready to watch a movie and I looked up at Tuleo in his enclosure and freaked! It looked like he was totally pyramiding! I jumped up and ran over and it was just dirt he had been digging. My husband looked at me (popcorn on the floor) like "What the hell, woman?!"

I gave my lil spud a bit of strawberry, I thought it would be a beautiful shot too but he mushed it all up and it was hanging out of his mouth lol! Still adorable though
