irwin has a "dip" at the back of his shell. He has had it since I got him from my daughter in June. I think I've stopped the pyramiding - but not sure if this dip is an issue. Any advice/suggestions? Also - is his pyramiding bad?image.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpeg

What a cute split scute this one has! I love it. They're just cosmetic - some little mutation while they're developing in the egg.

The pyramiding is quite mild too. You've got a lovely one here.

I think Sarah is right on all counts. :)

That appears to be a cosmetic scute abnormality that occurred during development in the egg.

Thanks! And Tom - Irwins good health is because of YOU! I took all your advice - as well as others on this forum - and he is thriving! He has a great personality too - when he's not being grumpy and stubborn! Thank you for educating me!!!
