We are so excited !! My order from Carolina Pet came yesterday. Now to get it planted. I also ordered a pound of cactus ( optuntia ). We are going to try to root that also. Can't wait to see it sprout. No more guessing if it's safe for Izzy to eat. Does anyone have any tips for sprouting the seeds or rooting the cactus ? What has worked for you ?

Are you putting the seed mix directly in the enclosure? I put it in a large terra cotta saucer and it's worked like a charm.

That's AFTER I cut about 3 inches off. Lol. It grows sooo fast! He sleeps in it sometimes. izzy will love it!

I don't have anything on the cactus though. Lol. Sorry!

We are putting some in the inside enclosure, and I bought 4 under the bed large storage boxes last night and planted them for the outside enclosure. That way I can switch them out when he has grazed them down. Was wondering what I could use for the inside seeds that would be low enough he could get into it to eat. Flower pot saucer is a great idea. Thank you.
