Russian Tortoise -need advice.

For another twist on the substrate advice, we've done quite well with coconut coir with repti-bark (which I believe is orchid bark) on top. The coco coir can hold a lot of moisture and is great for burrowing down into, and I the bark on top helps keep in the moisture and makes for a nicer, less fiber-y top surface.
