Are all types of roses safe for sulcatas to eat? Even the leaves? Like if I see a plant with "rose" in the name is it safe to use???
Tom said:One thing to watch out for is the systemic pesticides that are now in use. They can last a year or more in the tissues and leaves of a new plant from a nursery. I only feed new growth from a rose plant that has been in MY ground for over a year.
And yes, all varieties and color variations are okay to eat.
Due to the ever changing nature of common names, I would not assume that anything with "rose" in the name is safe.

I'm at the store now and they have a desert rose plant. Is that good too?
