I need to be able to monitor temps in my outdoor night boxes this winter from work. Accurite has a system with a docking station that will remote attach to three sensors. An app can be used on my phone to monitor. Has anyone used a system like this or recommend anything. I need a range of at least 500 feet. Accurite is only 330.

How about wireless cameras with Internet access. You can point it at a thermometer and possible see what they are up to.
Don't know if I have seen anything that reaches that many feet. Mine is suppose to reach 100 or 150 feet and in less then that many feet it losses contact sometimes.

Have thought about cameras, but they are expensive. Really hope someone can recommend a thermometer system that will work.

I depend a great deal on these, The Accurite seem to from sending unit to readers for no reason. I am not sure the working footage (i just don't remember) on any of the ones I use. I have a radio shack that works fine, my oldest system is from LL BEAN and never had a problem with either.t year I started using

I use several different types, LA CROSSE Technology, RadioShack, Accurite, my oldest is from LL BEAN, it is made by la crosse, I don't remember the working footage on any of them. I don't need anything near 500 ft The Accurites sometimes switch sender units to different readers. For this reason I have at least 2 sending units in each house.Having an idea what the temp should read, if one is off by more than a couple degrees I know there is a problem. I am working with 5 different houses. Hopefully someone has a 500 plus footer that will work for you, I love this technology, makes life so much easier with less worry..
