I’m thinking about making/getting an enclosure for my redfoot. I’ve had him for 4 months and don’t know his exact age but his shell is 3 inches long.
How big would it need to be?@Markw84 makes ones that are quick and easy to self assemble out of PVC. Another alternative is a grow tent
It is designed for a hot humid environment to promote plant growth. It just needs lined with some pond liner since it is a thin mylarWould it be able to hold humidity well, where I live the humidity is very low.
The issue is the humidity that is why pvc is best. @Tom has been working with torts for years and has found that even with almost any coating, paint, or liner the wood will rot. Sadly I learned this after I built my wood enclosure which may survive since after my leopard outgrows it, it will be the Russians permanent home so lower humidity. That is why a grow tent is an awesome temporary enclosure and pvc have a better overall long term use.Would building it out of wood be fine?
Just message him and he will reply quicklyOk, do you have any idea a 6x3 pvc from @Markw84 would cost
