My son has a 10 month old red foot tortoise who occasionally has bubbles coming out of the nose area. It isn't all the time and I am not sure if I should be concerned since I have read everything to wait it out to take him to a vet.

Any red foot experts out there that can help me know what to do or what to expect when I go to a vet, if I can find one here. We are in Nashville, TN

THanks!

blowing bubbles out of the nose can be a sign of problems in the respiratory area so i would advise finding a good tortoise vet in your area and getting him checked. I cannot advise any vets as i am from the UK; but hopefully someone from the USA will help you

Just wondering if the bubbles come out right after he drinks or has been soaked.
Some of mine will have water coming out of there nose right after that. mostly water but some bubbles also.
Have you noticed if is still eating like usual or not?
