I hope someone more knowledgeable will soon respond to this.
(Here is 'Goku' eating some pumpkin/strawberry and powdered V. D3+calcium. He doesnt seem to eat his greens yet, pumpkin seems to be his favorite) The little guy is still alive, I took him to the vet which he stayed for 10 days ( very pricey), he has a few parasites from checking his feces. he is eating better now however he still does vomits sometimes but not as often. The vet says it might take him a while to recover because his digestive system might have been damaged by the parasites and needs to recover.
Actually, that last picture looks like pretty normal poop. The bit of clear mucous MIGHT mean flagellates (parasites), but then again, might not.
The vet just checked his stool, there are still several different parasites in him.I Hasnt eaten in 4 days now.... was advised by a friend to give him Fenbendazole to de-worm him. Sadly they dont sell this in my country . but can you guys give me some reviews for this product or do u recommend others?

The Vet im seeing is the only reptile expert in the city so he monopolies this niche market and he doesn't tell me the name of drug he is using . He mentioned several parasites found in Goku's stool, i forgot the name however when I raised the question about Fenbendazole he said in theory in should work but they dont sell it in my country, and I tried looking around and I found nothing... I will try and order some online from amazon however the ones i found (panacur Fenbendazole) are dosed for dogs and Goku only weigh 150 g therefore Im not sure if I can dose is accurately...Do you know exactly what "parasites" were noted in the stool? That would make a difference in what worming medication would be best to use to get rid of them. Ask your vet what parasites he found and what drug he would recommend to treat them, preferably one that he can get in your country. Any of these are fairly commonly used de-wormers and parasite killers: pyrantel pamoate, mebendazole, oxfendazole (Benzelmin) and metronizadole (Flagyl).
You might be able to buy the fenbendazole (Panacur) or some others of those I just mentioned from Australia if that is possible for you to do.

The Vets here refuse to tell me the name of the drug, therefore there is no way I can find it. The only way to treat Goku is to bring him to the Vet and the Vet will treat him directly and charge a lot. I didnt bring him to the Vet yet because Goku has been doing much better these 4 days, he has eaten every single day however he only eats strawberries... therefore I chopped a bit of carrot, pumpkin, hibiscus leaves and a tiny amount of cooked egg whites into the mashed up strawberry mix. He wont touch any leafy greens... The last time I took Goku to the Vet was about 3 weeks ago. the Vet said he got rid of a lot of the parasites in his system by examining his stool, and that u cannot 100% eliminate all the parasites. Goku use to have Diarrhea at the time but from the picture above (last week) his stool his solid again, just a bit light in colour from all the pumpkin he ate. Goku at the moment is eating but he hasnt pooped for 5 days......the Vet said even when the parasites are out of his system, the parasites might have already done some damage internally therefore his digestive system isnt functioning that well and will require time to recover. What are you doing about the parasites? Do did not answer any of the questions in my previous post.
Sorry for the confusion, the 1st time i took him to the vet was 2 months ago for stool examination. then the vet told me to come for a follow up and he will show me the stool results. I was one a business trip therefore the follow u was a bit late ( 2 weeks) then i took him to the vet again and the vet told me Goku ( my radiate) is infected by 3 types of parasites and he need to take his medication therefore the vet asked me to follow up 4 days consecutively but my home his too far from the vet so I let Goku stay with the vet for around 8 days for him to treat him And the Vet told me the medication got rid of most of the parasites etc.I am not sure I understand everything you posted above. Can you explain this statement, please?

To whom are you referring when you say "he got rid of a lot of the parasites"? Does the "he" in that phrase mean the Vet or your tortoise? Are you saying that the Vet treated him one time for the parasites and then rechecked the stool after that treatment and did not see as many parasites?

Thank you for this, this really helped. I understand that this animal is worth a lot etc. but I dont really trust this Vet in Vietnam since he cannot even name me the medicine he is prescribing him. I just came back from Hong Kong and a visited a tortoise specialist Vet who prescribed me a worming medicine for all the parasites Goku is infected with. Its hard to collect stool samples from Goku because he doesnt seem to poop, he only pee.....Tonight was his 1st dose of his medicine which I need to continue for about a week, then 2 week break and dose him again for a 2nd time. Hope this works out, he is enjoying his strawberries and he seems to give up on the carrots, pumpkin and eggs as well now.. BTW happy Birthday ZovickOK, thanks for making that more clear.
I can tell you that the tortoise should be treated multiple times with the worming medication at intervals varying from 2-4 weeks depending upon the parasites needing to be eliminated. Hence, if your tortoise was treated just once a couple of weeks ago, it should be treated again at the proper time to eliminate those parasites which have hatched since the first worming. The first worming kills the adult parasites, but may not kill their larvae and eggs, hence retreatment is done after those larvae and eggs have matured and or hatched. The proper time intervals for retreatment are determined by the life cycles of the parasites and are designed to kill the newly formed adults before they can reproduce again and reinfest the host animal.
For example, if you treat a tortoise with Panacur, it is necessary to dose the animal for three days in a row, then wait three weeks and treat the animal again for another three days. Some people treat a third time after another three week interval, but I would not do that third treatment unless a stool sample still showed high parasite loads (which it should not).
If you paid good money for your tortoise (as I assume you did), why try to "economize" on treating what could be a potentially life-threatening parasite infestation? Even if the vet is expensive, it will cost you a lot more to replace that tortoise if it dies, won't it?
Alright I will incorporate some papaya to see if he eats them, I had to force feed him the medicine along with reptile caloric supplement gel today through a syringe because he doesnt touch any food... he is still very active and has bright eyes, he just doesn't eat. The medicine is in powdered form usually i sprinkle the right dosage in his food then mix it at the top or i mix it with water and drip it in his mouth if he doesn't eat.Well, good luck with the worming treatments. Is the medication you have now a powder or a liquid? If you can get papayas there, he might eat some of that also. It is virtually the same color as pumpkins and carrots which may help since he did like those for a while. My Radiated Tortoises love it every time I give it to them.
