Radiata and spider tortoise at Los Angeles Zoo. shared enclosure.
such rare species are placed in a corner with ugly cages (there is a Burmenese star right next to it. same styles of cage), where other common species of reptiles have big and fancy enclosures. most people didnt even notice them.

well maybe keep in low profile is a good thing for the tortoise .

I will be on my way to rescue them with some small bolt cutters and a backpack. Just joking I hate tortoise thieves - Im sure they have to keep them in a sturdy people proof cage or someone will run off with them

I went to Brookfield Zoo in Chicago a few months ago and wasn't pleased with the radiated tortoise habitat. It was a relatively small enclosed glass terrarium-like setup. The tortoises seemed fairly healthy though.

At zoo miami they keep their Radiata in the back so they are bombarded with people so they can easily breed with peace and quiet

When I visited the Radiata shared their habitat with Ringtailed Lemurs. That accounts for the wire enclosed cage.
