The first one has taken over my garden this year and the second a volunteer something growing in the rock floor of my green house.

Also are the leaves of a pumpkin plant edible? I have heard somewhere that sunflowers are toxic. True?

Pumpkin and Sunflower are both edible (the whole plants) but shouldn't make up any large quantity of a diet. I can't help you with the ID on those plants however.

Thank you. I didn't plant sunflowers this year, but have a couple of volunteers. I love sunflowers n hated to remove them. I planted a pumpkin n it is huge. So many leaves. Will only give a little once in awhile.

The second one looks like turnip greens or related to. I always have problems identifying turnip, mustard and kale since I throw all the seeds outside randomly.

I thought so to, but it is volunteer just growing in my greenhouse. I didn't plant anything.

Thanks guys. I think I will leave the sunflowers growing, but not intentionally feed it. It is in his enclosure, but he ignores it. Any ideas on the weeds in the pictures?

It does. No idea how it would've got there though. Lol. My garden gets a bit out of control in the fall n I end up with volunteers. Had lettuce grow in my driveway this year, so it certainly could be broccoli, cauliflower or Brussel sprouts. Thank you.

He did. My husband transplanted it to his enclosure for him. Ate the whole plant in 2 days. He doesn't get lettuce hardly ever and likes it a lot better than grass.
