I really recommend the Seek app by iNaturalist for aiding your plant identification.

It uses a combination of your location and a photo taken by your phone camera to work out what you’re looking at. It’s really handy to just pull your phone out of your pocket, point and know what you’re looking at. It knows garden plants, weeds and trees and should work worldwide :)

Have you had good success with it? I've used Picture This and Plant Snap, both with limited success. Sometimes it's that the app can't ID the plant. Most of the time it's me...I simply can't see the similarities and differences between the plant and the picture.

Thanks for posting this...I'll give it a try.

I have used it quite a lot. I wouldn’t have posted otherwise

As with all things, caution is needed.

If in doubt, leave it out!
